2013 is right around the corner along with the...shoulda, coulda, woulda thoughts of what we failed to accomplish in
2012. The failed diet attempts, New Year's resolutions you ditched before the end of January, the goals you set and didn't achieved. How many promises have you made to yourself that THIS is gonna be your year, only to repeat the previous years of your life over and over? You are not alone; in fact more people belong to this club than the Success Club. The majority of people feel that willpower is the answer to success and winning, but that could not be further from the truth. Many people beat themselves up every day, because they believe that they don't have enough willpower to stay the course, when actually it is their mindset that is sabotaging their efforts. It simply does not boil down to “If you want it bad enough”. It takes a conscious and deliberate effort to break a negative mindset. Cultivating a success mindset is a process that does not come overnight! A success mindset is often spoken of in the realm of business and entrepreneurial endeavors, but most people ignore its importance. All the best education, knowledge, training and strategies will not sustain a person with a negative or poverty mindset. The origins of a poverty mindset may take most of us back to early childhood. Family history plays a big role in how we develop our mindset, and many of us have been indoctrinated with the “I'm barely getting by” mentality. As we become adults and start to live our own lives, we may still be gripped by the old paradigms of our family's history of struggle, poverty and negative beliefs. During these remaining hours of 2012, I challenge you to chuck that negativity/poverty mindset and create a SUCCESS MINDSET! Begin DREAMING your WILDEST DREAMS and create a new vision for your future. Step 1: Passion is pure energy, and leads us to our destiny when we follow it. When we are passionate, we are creative and happy. Passion is individual, so connecting with YOUR passion will birth ideas for ways to turn it into a profitable business. True authenticity breeds success. Step 2: Hold a vision of your whole and complete self. See your ideal self, living your ideal dream life. Marinate and focus on the vision of your best life. What does it look like, and feel like to be you at your absolute best in ALL areas of your life. Step 3: Come into the awareness of your oneness with a higher power whether you label it as God, Allah, The Universe, Infinite Intelligence, Spirit or another name. If you are ready to develop yourself, your business and your life into what you desire... START by clicking here Creating Your Incredible 2013! Wishing you PEACE & ABUNDANCE,

I wrote the following post in 2011, most of the information is still relevant...I hope you enjoy it. Be Blessed! In 2001, I was diagnosed with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy after a year-long journey with physicians, specialists and drugs that didn’t work & made the physical condition worse. I was FAT, EXHAUSTED, WEAK & and tired of falling all over the place. So, I’m one of Jerry’s Kids, where is my treatment? There was, I mean there is no treatment. Yup, that was my reaction. All those dang Memorial Day Telethons on TV the entire weekend and there is nothing the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) can do to get me better! Don’t get me wrong, the support at the MDA clinic @ Johns Hopkins was amazing. After seeing two different Rheumatologists, being referred to the National Institutes of Health, two muscle biopsies & numerous other tests/exams, I just wanted to know that I was going to get better…not worse. My prognosis, within 20 years I would be wheelchair bound. OMG, that was so depressing and upsetting for me. Me being who I am, I took on the challenge and decided that would not be me…. after a bone braking fall in November 2007, my fate was inevitable. Today, I use a power wheelchair 99% of the time.
Despite these things, I am HAPPY….I have PEACE in my heart. I have goals, dreams & desires that I plan to achieve despite my limited physical mobility. It took me a while to get to this point in my life; however, I am continuing to learn how to live with my limitations and live the BEST life I can. Stay tuned for more hilarious, encouraging tales of My Life…… Take care of YOU, Kendra |
